To Trump and Racist America: NO!

I refuse to give this guy a chance.  No President has ever done as much good as Trump would have to do to make up for the harm he did.

Trump made it almost necessary to excuse racism and hatred of the most vile kind.

People, by simply hoping their homes keep their values or their pensions mature, are force to embrace a racist fascist pig.  It is the worst moral crisis of my life and I take a page from the racist I saw in my family: they refused to accept Obama because he was black, so I refuse to accept Trump because he is vile, racist, sexist and a sub-human beast.

Join me.

A kick in the teeth to my family of Trump supporters

This weekend I got a hair cut, best I ever got, full shave and waving my face, even burn the wax out of my hair.  Above the register were the names of Allah and an image of Mecca.

Take that to my fascist DNA, take that vermin in the oxycontin trenched inlands of cousin fucking hicks.

London stands against you until Hell makes a place for you.

Speaking ot a dead father about Trump

My father didn't vote for Trump because he was dead, but he would have.  My family, after the death of my brilliant grandmother, is a jumble of semi-coherent stubborn racists idiots, who just accept false news and live in their own White Nationalist bubble.  Sadly most of white America has regressed to this fascist state.

My father, not a bright man by any means, did like to talk and as a manager (overseer) who spent his life dealing with Hispanic and black workers had some patience.

He was someone you could talk to, a trait no surviving member of my family has.

I failed to talk him out of investing all his retirement money in his Telco during the dot bomb, I failed to talk him out of Bush, I failed to talk him out of hating Obama, and I would have failed to talk him out of Trump.

But unlike my mother an brother, dullards of the first order, he would have listened.

What I would have said is that beyond the fact that this man Trump is clearly utterly unprepared as a person, and unfit as a human, was that he clearly lacked respect for humanity.  He saw disabled people as jokes open for humiliation, he was Hispanics as rapists, Syrian children fleeing gas, barrel bombs and Russians as terrorists.

The man was unchristian, he was booed by Catholic bishops and cardinals, it would be a mortal sin against humanity to vote for him.

It would not have worked.  In the end my father was a deep hypocrite, an utter liar who would talk rational sometimes only to engage in deep emotional tantrums on race and hatred.

I would try to bully him on the Russians, on how he voted for Reagan to stand up to the Russians only to have someone linked to Putin running in the GOP.  That might have worked, he might have voted libertarian, but I doubt it.

The sad reality is I see now that the community I grew up in, working class white semi-rural America is a lost cause and its a good thing they are not reproducing, that they are getting addicted to pain killers and meth.  There is no hope there, it is a simple matter of evolution.

The vast part of un-educated America belongs to a different climate, a colder climate full of Empires and primitive worlds, where there was no competition.  A world of Unions and Large Companies that made them stand for 8 hours as they slipped in sips of beer.

Like the Russians, the British and the Japanese there is no future for this group of people, their culture, their DNA and values are a waste.

We need to take a long term perspective, history is full of people who no longer exist.  Show me a Hun, a Roman, a Aztec; peoples vanish, their DNA is scattered, their culture is replaced and their language is modified.  This is how history and biology work, and with Trump its time to see that the only hope for the world is the extinction of much of the white race in America.

Lets hope that time, cigarettes, processed food, bad healthcare, oxycontin and TV do the work of firing squads, I would hate to see people get their hands dirty.

Hate crimes are pretty one way

As always the US media is trying to play fair.  Not content to have essentially elected Trump by refusing to call him out early, reporting of the massive spike of White Nationalism that drove Trump is trying to reach and find cases where Trump people are the victim.

http://edition.cnn.com/2016/11/10/us/post-election-hate-crimes-and-fears-trnd/

Alert everyone.  Being a Trump supporter is not the same as being black.  There is one case where its possible that the victim was attacked for being white, though he did not deny supporting Trump.  In the other cases the victims were Trump supporters.  Attacking people who join racist and fascist movements is probably just, if not fully legal.

On the other hands blacks, Hispanics and Muslims are being attacked for no other reason than being who they are.

It has to be made clear, if someone wears a Trump hat or worked for Trump they get what they deserve, and that includes killing.  It is just to oppose fascists to any extent.  Its not legal and I would not advice anyone attack someone who voting Trump, but I would say that even though what they do is criminal and will result in time in jail or the death sentence, it is still just.

Put more simply the only reason not to attack anyone who voted Trump is simply to keep the rule of law going.  The hope is that this fascist nightmare can be ended without open civil war, that the white race in America, generally fat, old and racist, will die out in time and America can emerge from this.

But any Trump support who is attacked is not a victim, they got what they deserved.

Indiana Jones knows (a poem on Fascism of all things)

Indian Jones knows
White savior narrative in film
Its it all the four movies
You can work with the Commies
Indie can work with the strange religious cults
But you can only kill fascists

You kill them in their beds
You drop fire on them from the sky
You spend your young killing them
You waste your nation killing them

Indian Jones knows
they have already damned themselves
God has cursed them
everywhere they show themselves
you must chase them down
you must kill them

You can not turn your back on a fascist
Their smiles are arrays of teeth
Their promise are Carbon Dioxide gas
Their skin is only for burning
They are only here to be killed

You kill the child in its bed with its mother
You kill the injured coming home to rest with their lover
You kill the old people struggling to find food
You kill the new lovers kissing under a tree
You kill the priests waiting in a train station
You drop bombs on them that break down to the cellar
You burn the air away from children and mothers

Nothing they do is to be kept alive
Indian Jones knows
the entire fascist state is damned
his father knows
everyone knows
most of all they know
they have already turned their backs on life
they are fascists

Trump supporters are Fascists

So many of them complained that under Obama white working class lost ground to other groups.  That is a fascist lie.

White unemployment level dropped and was always lower than Hispanic and Black, and whites suffered far less from the 2008 collapse.

White life expectancy remained higher than black, with white females have the longest life expectancy.  Black life expectancy has grown faster but it still lags about 10 years behind white.

Whites are profoundly richer than blacks.

There was no economic or social motivation for rural whites to go for Trump, this was an election of racism and nothing else.  It is a sad reflection on America, but the GOP since Nixon and Reagan have become the racist party, and in 2016 they became the first fascist party in power in the USA.

God help us all, but there is no God.

The Mad

In better times they killed the mad

Before they dragged them out into the muddy places that markets dared not invade
To watch them commute with that real essence that was being left behind

But then they tried to cure the mad
And that was evil, that was mad
And now they spread it everywhere, behind every sign there is a mad man waiting to take your face

Today we have relearned that medieval joy of walking past the mad
She stands there in the summer heat, dressed in layers of winter clothing
Drinking a peanut butter jar of hpiss
Hissing that there are murders lurking the corners
which there are
and Oh My God, I have to rush to make my bus
Cups of coffee waiting for me in the office needing to be drunk
Google waiting to be asked something

Google is mad
Ask it a question, and it rants off some utterly senseless mass or words
And have you ever listened to the TV
I mean listen to it as you flip for channel to channel
You must be mad to know to use it
I have forgotten how to use the TV
When I see one it’s a mad woman hissing in piss breath about rats and cunts.

But you are sane, you and I are sane
That is our happy curse you know
we are the ones without the freedom of the new mass
we are the ones who don't hear the voices everywhere
In better times tribes of humans killed the mad before moving on to other camps
In better times the mad were seen as evil
But now they are running the network, hell they are in the White House
They are forming referendums
They are coding their gibberish into tweets
They are masturbating all the same fantasy
They say everything
No one has a secret anymore
But you and I, we un-mad humans
We are cursed

Help me, I am trying to keep the camp together
I am trying to remember the actual words to the song
I am trying to look up at a night sky and know that stars exist

Thank you cancer

Thank you cancer

Thank you cancer
for turning my father from a bloated man
to a bloated corpse
before he could drop another vote
for averting one great sin of a father
that could be visited upon this son

for giving me one less link of DNA to that ocean of hate
to those minstrel shows he would perform for the family
drawing characters from the humans who had to work under him in hot warehouses
or the lectures about how climate impacts culture
or how the dark people breed so much and care not for their children
or never punishing me for saying ‘niggers and spics’
but punishing me for smoking pot

Without cancer all of that hatred would still produce karma on me
thank you cancer for exploding out of his white bones and tearing through his white skin
for turning his chest of hatred into a mouldy mass of black cottage cheese
for a little justice with execution
and please, dear beloved cancer
work rapidly to clear more of these monsters
i offer my own body to you

if you can clear North America of the white master race

Dear UKIP

Dear UKIP

This morning the short girl from Naples who works at the café I go to came back from some vacation or something.  I don't know where she was.  I might have a crush on her, its hard to tell.

When I saw her I said, with a smile:
'O Sole Mia'

The song that ice cream truck driven by the old Cypriot Greek plays day in and day out when its warm in London.  As the globe warms I hear it more and more. And she smiled, really smiled like she was about to laugh a good laugh.

And then I was a bit taken with myself having flirted in the Naples dialect with an Italian, and then I felt like a silly old man having been taken with myself for having flirted in the Naples dialect with an Italian, and then I felt kind of touched by myself feeling like a silly old man who I flirted with a pretty short young Italian girl. It goes on and on.

But my question for UKIP, for the BNP and for everyone who voted BREXIT really, precisely what evil did I do flirting in Italian in London to a young short Italian who is too young and too short for me?  What crimes did she carry in those tight black pants, darting around the crowded café cleaning up after lazy people trying to hide from the terrible sun of global warming?

Why is it that people who share the same sun can't share London, when the sun is brutal and angry with us?

The great threat of boredom

England where I live, used to be a very nice place.  Free healthcare, low crime, people got along.

That what back during the Labour years, up till and even through Iraq.  People protested Iraq in a good natured civil way, kind of a carnival really.

Then came the last 5 years, especially the last year; essentially the age of Eton, and since that time I have seen everything rapidly falling apart.

People now openly hate each other,  they are talking about ending Notting Hill Carnival, the Prime Minister essentially rules as a South American dictator.  The nation is become mean, even the left is now scary.  I mean if you change from Labour to Tory you might sell your soul, but no one is going to threaten your life for opposing the current leader.

Over the ocean, it calls as it has called people tired of  England for centuries: Spain and Italy, insanity infused with joy, violence with blood.  You call me in my sleep, you have not yet fallen like old England to the fascist poison of boredom.

Pictures from my second show in 2016

Maybe, just maybe it was too busy but I had lots of fun and sold some work.  Now they put me in the window by the way.  I am her showing my evolving masterpiece.
The book folds out into a long scroll.

The scroll shows the history of the universe, well my history of the Universe.  As you can see I am covered in two shirts of books I have made.

Me showing the scroll at an earlier show.

And me showing the piece earlier, I am still working on it and how to show it publically early next year.

My most recent show in Brick Lane Gallery, fun

Brilliant crowd,  I will have to remember to link to artists.  You can see me showing my passports, an ongoing project where I make passports.

Thank you Amoke for representing my work, especially showing the passports.  Found her at the last minute, she did greater than great, and did work in French as well!

Brick Lane London is the place to be for the EU's art scene might I say, and I am very lucky because of a great support team from my wife to be showing where art is happening.

Somebody takes a picture of my work

And the picture closest to us, the one under the Liz Taylor picture sold.  This is my third show and I have already made 5 sales so I have been pretty happy with that.

Wonderful new friends from Singapore we had the pleasure to meet on a train in Belgium.

Hungry TV

Amsterdam, in the cursed year of Satan, 2000 and 6 and 10
Standing in front of a rad light whore's pen
Kind of  sorry place
a sexual world with love's grace
where women put their bodies on a plate
clearly there for us to contemplate
But she, heavy, tanned American
like every other citizen
Stands there looking through a tiny screen
I bet she's only nineteen
But already she has forgotten how to be
a person in reality
a TV set is all she knows
and life is just a set of shows
she films her way through her Europe tour
and now she's filming a sad desperate whore
Its all just proof against the truth
that that stupid phone ate her entire youth

Reading is the fundemental practice of being.

My point is simple, in reading we are distilling the most basic practice of existing as a conscious being in a strange reality.

We don't understand time, but we have an emerging idea that we live in a massive stateless blog, but that the reality behind this 3D blob is a 2D reality of information.  That the 3D universe we experience is the casting of this 2D universe.

That we experience of flow of time through a pre-existing blog of the Universe.  That this flow of time comes about via line of entropy.

And what is a book?

A book is a 3D object, a block of reality.

But what is the subjective reality of a book, what is reading.

We confront a 3D block that exists and find that at core its 'reality' is really a 2D surface.  That each of us in our own imagination constructs a 3D world via exposure to this 2D surface, one that flows in a direction of broken bindings, torn pages, yellowing pages, and coffee spills.  A book will only take so many readings, many of my favourite books are falling apart.

So is not reading enacting in a mindful state the fundamental reality of being?

Reflections on London after Brexit

Since that time
every day
I have turned my face away
hidden behind paper masks of fools
now suddenly we are machines marchining
our hearts our cut away
of what a terrible ugliness is aborted
what a long history is suddenly distorted

Its now the age of the impotent man
who looks at the Italian or Polish beauty with lust for beer and sport
the smell of death is everywhere now
right, left, above, below
the panic is creeping in now
even inside the old english cow
the pram pushing sow
and it make one wonder how
the fascist face of this place
was hidden up to now

English is the summer is ugly
the endless rain
causes me tooth pain
it hurts my lovers back

but now the thing you see
is the fear
everywhere the fear
don't use a black cab with a white driver
don't go inside a rough looking pub
whisper to the girl who sell you pickles
that she is welcome here
my god its like the nazis finally got here

Fuck it all
it might not be safe to say
in girl blood soaked england today
that I love the hard work honest family here have done
and I want them all to stay.

I hate you now London like I never hated any face before

#Brexit

Oh!
Oh famine's revenge, burning
Red Box
Oh flag of George
Catholic Saint
Of flags of red and white
oh menstrual rage
line of red running down junkies inner thigh
of cotton ball stuck up the nose
of old Island of Shakespeare

oh teeth dust
oh grinding glass
oh synthetic white shirt
oh pints and pints and pints

where has she gone
where has the green island gone
where has the land of swords
where has Author gone lost

oh tissue
of aborted futures
of struggles for noses
of strong pulses
of blind sexually charged cars

Advice to a Fresh Person

If money's gain is all you is all you see
don't late moan you fate to me
for friends you make in service of career
will coldly turn upon you suddenly from the rear
and as Good Will did say:
'To your own self be true'
and never sell a pinch of what is truly you

And when you walk keeps eyes upon your feet
but smiley directly to all you meet
the body must treasure and protect the things things that matter most
the beauty, health and composition of the host
And always think a good things every day
and do one good thing every week in some warm but modest way
and nightly count the totals of all good and bad you do
And always know each new day to be a life anew

Deleted line

for smiles that never touch the heart
are poor campaigns from the start

I think those two lines are kind of trite, or is the entire thing trie?

Friday 3 June 2016

Is it possible to make a great film out of "Atlas Shrugged"? How do you think it could be done?

Impossible.
The core problem is how Capitalist presents itself in film.  It is very key to take some time to think about how Capitalism is expressed in media that is dominated by and funded by Capitalism.
Please indulge me, I wrote a number of papers on this in graduate school.
Firstly in the world today only Capitalism makes films, and only profit motivates films.  The government does not make films, it does not support films with grants or bailouts.  Regulation of film is just political side show, with the GOP actually wanting more regulation of an industry, why? Because its not real regulation.
Now film making is very expensive, taking a film to product is on the level of cost like making a new weapons system.  With no public investment at all this is a massive fully private industry, with very big money involved, a fully Capitalistic global industry.
Okay so Hollywood is perhaps the perfect global market.
So people who support Capitalism must love Hollywood right?
Well no, actually the opposite, this most Capitalist of industries, most global industry in the world finds it product, which is the perfect global commodity represents Capitalism in a way that most Capitalists find offensive.  Odd that eh?
Well its not so odd when you start to think about how Hollywood is making a Commodity that includes its own justification.  Justification or ideology is the lies told by power to make their order viable.
For global Capitalism the process of making money off a every growing global community that need to be converted to Consumers so that they will be driven to work in factories, put up with environmental and economic exploitation, and ever growing debt.
Now normally how this is done simply by worshipping wealth itself.  But the rich are shown in Hollywood in a very crude animal manor,  they enjoy drugs, sex, violence and creativity.
But beyond wealth when the subject of Capitalism comes up things get a bit more difficult.
Hollywood is a market, so it can't just produce educational videos about how great Capitalism is that bore people.  They can't out right lie, so they generally tell stories that admit the negatives that people see, but introduce concepts that the evils of Capitalism are not the evils of Capitalism but the evil of bad people.
We see time and time again films about Capitalism show Capitalists acting badly, but not doing it by necessity of market forces but because they are evil.  Real Capitalism seems rather banal and boring, with people making budgets.  People don't make budgets in films.
So the Fountainhead worked perfectly as a film, because it played the myth of Capitalism perfectly.
Atlas Shrugged simply makes no sense in terms of cinema.  The villains' and hereos' motivations don't work as a movie.  Unlike books films are short, they require that the audience already know the plot before they ever show up.  That is why good films and bad films still follow the same structures, they have to.  You can't construct an entire universe out of raw cloth and get wide range approval.  Films that do this are restricted to art houses or YouTube with a small audience.
But Rand's work has to be the biggest success, because it can't exist on its own. Rand's work can not be read as just books, because it obsession with Capitalism is so strong the reader is going to think 'how much money did this make?'
As a book it is more open for people to be taken down strange roads like Dune, and its possible for stange books to sell enough over time to be Bestsellers.  For Dune it does not matter if its a best seller or not really.  Most books it does not matter how many they sold.
But for someone as fixated on Capitalism as Rand it is utterly essential for it to be a massive best seller.
But any movie made about Atlas Shrugged and still being able to be called Atlas Shrugged is going to need to show Capitalism in a way that is not fit the easy excuses for the nature of Capitalism the audience needs to understand globally.
Summing up, Atlas Shrugged because of its content cannot be a major Hollywood blockbuster, and because of its ideology it has to be an major Hollywood blockbuster.

What did you learn from Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged"?

At the time I read it the meaning was simple:
I was one of the better people, much smarter and more able than others and the mass of other people were always trying to keep the best makers of things down.
For about 3 months I really got into it. I was living on saved money and worked a job while getting pretty much all As in my first year in college. I admired my mathematics teachers and felt contempt for the social science department, though I loved economics.
I got to the point where I even thought about not taking government grants and loans, and making the money myself.
When I told my mother, a life long Republican, of my idea she made it clear that I was to take everything the government gave me.
Which lead me to a more realistic review of how my life was only made possible by the contributions of government help, and the end of my love affair with Rand.

What are the consequences, both negative and positive for Germany of accepting refugees from Syria and other Middle Eastern countries?

Germany as a nation and economy is going to be much bigger.  The Germans are essentially playing a very different game than the UK right now, by taking refugees in a controlled fashion they are getting an injection of cheap labour, much of it highly skilled.  They are also getting linguistic skills and families that will work hard for little money and make something of themselves.

This additional 1 million people in 5 or 10 years will increase the size and scope of the Germany economy, improving its generally sluggish but reliable growth rate by injecting young eager workers.

Germany has a excellent industrial base, good education and good debt situation.  The German problem is an aging population which is too conservative and too expensive.

The refugee crisis will make Germany look more like the USA, a larger population, younger, cheaper, harder working.

Its brilliant.  It helps to transform Germany from the biggest nation in the EU to a more major global player on the world stage at a time when the UK is doing everything it can to limit its role and presence on the global stage. Without the UK and France in a weak position Germany's domination of the EU and its major voice in global politics is more assured with a bigger faster growing economy.

What will the world be like on 2100?

I might be excused for hazarding guesses I know to be wrong, via my own reasoning, but if I had to guess I would make these guesses:

  • The USA will remain the worlds most powerful and significant nation.
  • China growth will stop somewhere just under US GDP because its export dependency places a limit upon its growth.  Japan, Taiwan and Korea have grown rich but have not been able to break out of the limitation to their economies and China will face the same problem.
  • The EU and the Euro wills survive, but expansion will be extremely slow if not stopped, and the EU's lack of strong central government, UK full participation, and the weak Federal system in Germany will make it a basket case Confederation.  They will not be able to break it up, but given the political situation in the UK and Germany they will not be able to fix it.  So the EU will be a critical economic and R&D centre but nothing more.
  • Despite current problems India will slowly emerge as a global power, just much more slowly than people were thinking a few years ago.  India has massive problems to overcome, more than China did, but it also has strengths of education and ingenuity that will enable it to overcome it.
  • It will be hotter, but global warming impacts on population will be tiny.  Things will be a bit more uncomfortable or harder to do, but civilisation will adjust.
  • The world population will be smaller than it is today, but not radically smaller, to take a guess I would say maybe 5 billion.
  • Capitalism and Representative Democracy will not be the global standard, the end of History stuff will end up being a flop.  Half the world's population will live in authoritarian regimes, Capitalism in the West will be dependent on Government power and spending, and many more nations will be openly Socialist, though not really in the Cuba or USSR model and not in a consistent or well worked out way.
BUT:

Well this is really impossible to answer in any real detail.  We can make guesses about the population, the GDP, the climate and the relative distribution of wealth, but we can not get the fine level of details right like the people who will come to power, the ideologies that will emerge, or the specific things that will be created and adopted.

And human society is a highly chaotic system, small variations in initial conditions will create great difference over relatively short time frames.  Clearly these variations are far smaller than our ability to measure of even quantify.

For example take the birth of one person. In 1912 Alan Turing was born.  His contribution to WWII may have, by itself, made sure the Allies were ready to invade France by 1944, meaning Western Europe was Capitalist and Democratic, meaning they would grow uncompetitive and in debt buying massive amounts from China.  The entire global structure may have been different if Turing was never born, it the Enigma code was broken 6 months later and the German U-boat war was able to delay the Allied landing in Normandy by a year giving the Russians time to win the war entirely.  Maybe.

But also the pace of computer development without a few brilliant men like Turing would clearly have been different.

So it is really impossible to make any solid predictions about anything in detail more than a few years out, and this inability to make solid predictions on detail make it impossible to make firm predictions about the overall picture.
